Where QuickBooks Online does more today
More users on its larger plans, phone support (listed for EasyStart), more report templates, AI features, and trips tracked by its phone app. Gopher Boss Books doesn't take card payments on invoices or run payroll yet, and has no app-store app.
What Gopher Boss Books is built around
Canadian sales tax: a GST/HST return worksheet with the CRA's GST34 line numbers, regular or Quick Method, plus PST, RST and QST owing (QST: regular method). One plan for each business, with bills, receipts, your own accounts and the reports in it, rather than a choice of tiers.
Moving from QuickBooks Online
Yes. Businesses bring in their customers and the invoices still open from the files Wave, QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Jobber or Housecall Pro export, or from a spreadsheet; from Wave, QuickBooks or a spreadsheet, their vendors and unpaid bills too. You see a preview before anything is saved, and can undo an import until you start using what it brought in.
